Description: 　　CFLS was one of the first seven foreign language schools initiated by the late Premier Zhou Enlai in 1963 in Changchun, Jilin Province, China, aiming to cultivate foreign language speakers, with the mission to cope with the increasing national demand for bilingual workforce in such sectors as foreign affairs, international trade and diplomacy.It is the only foreign language school registered by the Ministry of Education in Northeast China and the first batch of key secondary schools in Jilin Province，where ten ambassadors graduated here.Stipulated by the Ministry of Education, top students from each graduating class in CFLS are exempted from the National Higher Education Entrance Examination and are instead directly admitted into top universities. On the basis of guaranteeing many outstanding graduates to top universities, our school still created the excellent results of the 13 provincial top scorers in National Higher Education Entrance Examination. In 2005, our school was appraised as a Model Secondary school by the Education Department of Jilin Province. For many years, our school was appraised as the first prize of Changchun Characteristic Education and the excellent department of education and teaching.
