On September 30th, in order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China,carry forward the spirit of patriotism in the new era, inspire and lead the majority of young people to devote themselves to the new era and act as a promising young people, Changchun Foreign Languages School(CFLS)specially held a flag-raising ceremony with group calisthenics performance.

　　Principal Wang Hao, Vice Principal Yang Zhongshan and Vice Principal Zhang Lianfeng of CFLS, as well as all the teachers and students of the school, took part in the celebration, which was presided over by Zhang Chaoyang, director of the Students’ affairs Office.

　　At 9 o'clock in the morning, accompanied by a vigorously played national anthem, the bright five-star red flag rose slowly and fluttered in the wind. All the teachers and students held their heads high, stood respectfully, sang the national anthem together and watched the national flag rising. Afterwards, the students carried out thematic education in the form of speeches under the national flag, poetry recitation, chorus songs and making pledges around the theme of the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China and the 15th Party Congress of the school so as to stimulate students' love for the motherland and encourage them to work hard. Principal Wang Hao made a speech, leading the teachers and students of the school to look back on the past and look forward to the future.

　　The flag-raising ceremony has always been an important avenue of strengthening students' ideological and political education in our school, with a tradition of nearly 20 years. This semester, the department of student affairs will take the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, the 100th anniversary of the May 4th Movement, and the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland as an opportunity to carry out in-depth patriotic and moral education, encouraging the students of CFLS to work hard, and train more individuals with ambitions to take on the task of national rejuvenation.

　　After the flag-raising ceremony, teachers and students presented gifts to the motherland with youthful and enthusiastic group calisthenics performances. Teachers and students use songs to express their deep love for the motherland and write their blessings on the prosperity of the motherland. Our school will forge ahead in order to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and never forget their original ideals and aspirations.

　　We should integrate our own growth into the revitalization of the country, the national rejuvenation, and devote the fervent youth into the service of the motherland, contribution of society. We should examine ourselves with judgment of new era, forge ourselves in the melting pot of new journey, take initiatively to adapt to the development trend of new era, read more, read well, seek truth, understand truth and strive to grow into a person who are responsible to themselves, useful to society and loyal to the country. We should start it form ourselves, start bit by bit, start now, and explore in the innovation, achieve goals in the creating excellence, and write a wonderful chapter of life in the practice of motherland’s soaring and national revitalization.
