As the nation celebrates the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, Changchun Foreign Language School held a series of activities to celebrate the motherland ’s birthday, such as poetry recitation, choral competitions, and artistic performances. On the afternoon of September 29, 2019, the school leadership team, directors of various departments, parent representatives, teachers and students attended the ceremony.

　　With the national anthem played, all the teachers and the students stood up to sing the national anthem, with a magnificent momentumto expressing their infinite love of the motherland and best wishes for the future of the motherland.

　　The ceremony is not only a kind of cultural activity that can enrich students' campus life and demonstarte youth and vigor, but also an educational activity that can actively promote patriotism, collectivism and socialism. Meanwhile, it can improve cohesion among students. This event is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of PRC and commemorate the 100th anniversary of the May 4rth movement. The school will further arouse young students’ patriotic enthusiasm, guide them to enhance awareness of “four consciousness”(maintain political integrity, think in big-picture terms, follow the leadership core, and keep in alignment), "four confidence"(confidence in the path, theory, system, and culture of socialism with Chinese characteristics), and constantly promote good class and academic atmosphere. We will spread the spirit of our school out to the campus, and celebrate the 70 anniversary of the founding of PRC with practical actions!

　　In a peaceful era, we expect our students to be capable of observing the world around them while remaining grateful for what they have.They can stay enthusiastic and concerned about national and global affairs and keep pace with the many positive developments occurring across China.

　　CFLS students have many opportunities to learn about different world cultures. However, no matter where our students go or which language they use to communicate with others, they should bear in mind that they are a member of the Chinese nation and are representatives of its youth and future.

　　Our individual ideals need to embody the great causes of our country,demonstrating that we have sufficient awareness of the bigger picture. Then our students' minds will be as broad as the sea.
