On September 21st, 2020, Changchun Foreign Language School held its annual MUN Club welcoming ceremony. Due to the recruitment of freshmen, our current members all work on being more inclusive and welcoming to help new members feel connected and comfortable. With an emphasis on developing students’language communication skills, research and analysis skills, cultural competency and diplomatic skills, the MUN club adheres to the "academic oriented" tradition and helps meet the growing demand for comprehensive talents. The MUN club has also lived up to expectations, showing its demeanor on the national stage and winning many honors for the school.

　　Du Yuying presided over the meeting and introduced the leading guests participating in the ceremony, and announced the list of members of the 2020 Presidium.

　　Executive Chairperson Gao Mingze led all members to take the oath, "Promote commnication, Ease conflicts, engaging the culture, understanding the world."

　　Li Junxuan raised her ardent hope for the new members and a bright prospect for the future of MUN club.

　　Zhang Yun, the new Club leader arranged the work of the community. She pointed out the School Motto "National consciousness International Vision" was also significant for the training of members.

　　Chen Zeyi is excited about the opportunity to be a part of the new Model UN at CFLS. He participated in MUN Conference and thoroughly enjoyed his experience.

　　Finally, Qi Lina, the instrutor of MUN Club gave a speeach. She said, "What makes MUN conference so educational is that when you’re assigned a country, you have to be that country and put yourself in the shoes of the people in that country." She encouraged the students to learn more about international relations, diplomacy as well as how the UN operates, thereby cultivating their global competence to be more capable,far seeing, prudent and confident.
