From March 14 to March 17, 2019, the Model United Nations Club of Changchun Foreign Language School (CFLSMUN), led by English instructors - Qi Lina and Sheng Yingxin, participated in the annual Peking University National Model United Nations Conference for High School Students (PKUNMUN).

　　A total of over 500 student delegates, more 100 student observers and volunteers, and teachers from over 100 high schools in China participated in the event. It is noted that PKUNMUN has long been a prestigious MUN conference with the highest academic level and the strongest quality of representatives.

　　After strict selection by the instructors, the members of CFLSMUN were finally qualified to participate in the conference. Tong Qiyuan, Lv Jiayuan, Hu Hanwen and Xumu Xiaoqiao were qualified to participate in the conference. Meanwhile, Li Junxuan, Qi Bihan and Zhang Tongjia, were invited to visit and observe as volunteers.

　　PKUNMUN is not only an academic feast, but also unique memories of students. In the four-day agenda, the representatives of our school were able to put aside their utilitarian heart at the conference, make every speech carefully, listen to the opinions of others, and write high-quality documents. The seriousness of the issues did not prevent all participants from having a great time with students from schools across the country. They fully demonstrated the elegant demeanor in logical language and documents. During Closing Ceremonies, Hu Hanwen was recognized with “Best Position Award”, and Tong Qiyuan was recognized with “the Best Position Paper”.

　　In addition, the volunteers also gained knowledge, growth, friendship and memories, and all the participants felt that it was worth the trip!

　　Over the course of the conference, Changchun Foreign Languages School "Model UN" members transcend language barriers, regional boundaries, cultural differences, and imprisoning ideas. This platform, which brings together outstanding students from many of the world's top schools, provides a good opportunity to communicate and learn from each other. While listening to the opinions of others, students broaden their horizon and promote intercultural understanding.

　　Youth represents the future of the world, and will gradually share an ever larger ownership in global affairs.
